In the medieval period potters got creative with their work and a whole genre of ‘face jugs’ flourished. Although they weren’t the first potters to see the anthropomorphic posibilities of the pot form they definitely created a unique, quirky and sometimes very silly pots for everyday enjoyment.

Join us for a fun evening learning about the history and techniques empolyed by these medieval potters and have a go at making your own face jug!
