A fun evening workshop exploring different traditional slipware techniques (i.e white slip on dark earthenware clay body).

This method of using light clay ontop of dark to provide a striking contrast has been used since the early medieval period. Often acompanied with a beautiful orange honey glaze.

During the workshop we will explore a number of methods, including stenciling, scrafitto and slip trailing.

Tiles will be left to dry and glazed and will be ready for collection up to 4 weeks after the workshop.
