Come and experience a wood firing at Lyde Green Pottery firing your own work!

The workshop consists of a firing of the LGP downdraught wood kiln also known as a ‘fast fire’ which in total takes around 12 hours from 9am - 9pm.

During the day you will experience the flow and rhythm of a collective stoneware reduction firing with on hand intruciton on how to prepare, load and fire the kiln as well as discussions around the science of wood combustion and kiln design from artist and LGP founder Phil Root.

The next day we will unload the kiln and discuss the results.
